Spot Color Studio, located in the heart of St. Johns, is proud to support local businesses and civic organizations.
When the St. Johns Neighborhood Association determined that they needed to update their website, the well-organized leadership conducted a formal RFP process to select a website designer. After reviewing RFP responses and conducting interviews with the finalists, they ultimately chose Spot Color Studio.
Not only did we donate half the cost of building the site, we also completed the project in record time so that it would be online in time for the St. Johns Parade. It took only 4 weeks from contract signing to website go-live–a process that typically takes at least 12 weeks. The push was worth it when Thomas Ebert, SJNA Past Chair and point person for the website project, told us:
“I honestly just had a chill run through me looking through this. I know that maybe sounds cliche, but I think it’s just because this is going to be such an amazingly helpful tool for the community.”
Nicole Weber, Spot Color Studio’s founder, is part of the St. Johns Farmers Market Marketing and Communications Committee. Spot Color donated the creation of the market logo and branding for the market, as well as posters, flyers, signage, t-shirts, bags, aprons and other items to promote the weekly event.
The market opened in the summer of 2010 for the first time, and quickly had over 1,800 visitors in the first hour. Most of the vendors sold out by noon! It was a wonderfully successful first season. Spot Color Studio is happy to be donating their design and marketing services again, for what is sure to be an even better year. The market is now open on Saturdays from 9-1pm…come check it out!
St Johns Mainstreet is a non-profit organization with the goal of attracting and promoting business in the area for the benefit of both the business community and residents. It was created specifically to apply for the Oregon Main Street Program, which is a statewide commercial district revitalization program.
Spot has donated countless hours of design time to create their logo and branding, as well as a number of marketing collateral and business identity pieces.
We are also very proud to donate our design services to The Amy Roloff Charity Foundation.
Amy and her family starred in the TLC television series, Little People, Big World. Amy founded the Amy Roloff Charity Foundation to raise funds for the Dwarf Athletic Association of America (DAAA) and other local Portland charities. Spot Color is helping Amy with her 2010 Dinner and Golf Tournament, coming up in August, which will benefit Portland’s Shriners Hospitals for Children. We also just finished designing special cards for school children in Port au Prince, Haiti, which Amy took with her as gifts during a summer 2010 trip to the earthquake-devastated country.
